It’s not usual for Apple-fans to read about a price cut on company’s latest flagship devices, but times are changing. Now, you can grab the latest iPhone 6S/6S Plus at a good discount. According to a report from Economic times, Apple has slashed the prices of its latest iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus by up to 16 per cent within just two months after their launch in the country.
After the discounts, the price of the iPhone 6s 16 GB model, which was introduced at Rs 62,000 on October 16 ranges between Rs 52,000 and Rs 55,000. The report also says that the price cuts are across all variants – 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB of both the flagship models. On PayTM the effective price of iPhone 6S is Rs 41,000 (including cash back).
Notably, the price of the iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus were Rs 14,000-Rs 16,000 costlier than the international markets, which disappointed a large base of smartphone enthusiasts in India. And with this new price-cut just before the Christmas, we can expect some rise in the sales of the latest iPhones.
Besides, Apple has also slashed the price of two years old iPhone 5s for the third time within the three months. The smartphone sells at Rs 21,945 on Flipkart for the 16GB variant.
