New details about an upcoming smartphone from OnePlus have surfaced online.
According to a new report by GizmoChina that cites factory sources, OnePlus X, a low-priced variant of the OnePlus 2 is expected to be unveiled as soon as this month. The phone could sport a 5-inch display, and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with a quad-core CPU and Adreno 330 GPU.
Rumours also indicate that the upcoming phone could sport a leather back, dual camera lenses and a fingerprint sensor. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei had earlier indicated that the phone could target people who value design over specs.
The Chinese startup’s co-founder had informed that the company was planning to launch a new phone by Christmas. He had said the phone may or may not feature better specifications compared to the OnePlus 2 but the prototype left quite an impression on him. However, Pei had not revealed any other details on the phone.
